Upstream & Midstream - Exploration, Production & Transportation

Most of our consultants at MES have a great depth of knowledge and expertise of this sector gained from working in the Oil and Gas industry for at least 10 years. They know the different challenges faced by this sector from complying with regulatory requirements to improving performance and operational effectiveness of mature assets or aging infrastructures and associated HSE issues. MES possesses significant expertise in developing Safety Cases or HSE Cases at all levels of the design to comply with UK HSE regulations or company standards such as Shell DEP standards. We work with Duty holders of aging assets in the UK North Sea to address their asset integrity issues so as to maintain their operational licences within the UK North Sea. We support our clients in their pipeline integrity management processes by undertaking pipeline risk assessments and reveiwing their documentation to comply with industry recognised standards and guidelines. We also assess impact on existing Safety cases from modifications to existing platforms and develop HSE Cases for high-sour, high-pressure facilities in the Middle East and the Caspian Sea. MES has taken these challenges and delivered value for their clients.

Downstream - Refining, Manufacturing and Distribution

In the downstream Oil and Gas sector, MES has extensive experience carrying out various Techncal Safety Assessments, RAM studies and developing HSE / HSEIA cases to UK COMAH regulations, Shell DEP and ADNOC standards. Most of our projects involve greenfield developments at FEED to Detailed Design stages and expansion of existing facilities.
